On Wednesday January 9^th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., we will have the Vilas County Conservation Awareness Poster and Speaking Contest presentations and a reception in the Community Room of the library.  116 different students submitted posters which have been judged and awarded first, second and third places in different grade levels.  The 12 speaking contestants will give their 5 minute speeches before the judges and the audience and their prizes will be awarded at the reception as well.  Light refreshments will be provided.  All interested persons are invited to attend.  Entrants are from Northland Pines School District, Christ Lutheran School, Phelps School District and Arbor Vitae/Woodruff School.  The posters will be on display in the Community Room through the end of January.
