March Book Madness – Vote Online!

Vote in a bracket-style showdown for your favorite books for a chance to win glory and prizes! Voting for the Sweet 16 round opens March 11 and the champions will be announced on April 8. Starting March 11th, you can vote weekly in 2 Book Leagues - Fiction & Nonfiction - to narrow the field of competition from "Sweet 16" to a Champion. Snapathon is a citizen science event that is part of Snapshot Wisconsin.  Participants will identify wildlife in photos taken through Snapshot Wisconsin field cams to contribute important data for wildlife research.  Here's how it works: Step 1:  Bring your friends - or just bring yourself! Genealogy Help – Online

Every month, the Eagle River Genealogical Society will be available to answer questions and help you work through tricky family history questions.  Remember, you can access Ancestry Library Edition, Family Search, and other genealogy resources at the Library!

Memory Café is held on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. The cafes are monthly social get-togethers for persons with dementia or memory loss AND their caregivers, family, and friends.  Come and enjoy a “dementia-friendly” outing with your loved one.

Read to one of our Therapy Dog friends every Tuesday!  Bring a favorite book (or find one at the library!) and drop in to read with us. You can also sign up in advance by calling the Library at 715-479-8070 or emailing plamon@olsonlibrary.org! The Read to a Dog program encourages children to practice their  reading skills with a furry friend and build reading confidence.
